TOP 5 GUILTY PLEASURES

I was tagged by the lovely Helen and so Im going to do it - at the risk of being ridiculed from here to the end of time here are my top 5 guilty music pleasures:

1.  Dizzee Rascal

He's English and he does hip hop.  Sounds bad doesnt it?   But actually, despite me not liking hip hop in the first place and on top of that knowing how crap it can sound in an english accent, he's actually quite good.  Click here for initial awesomeness and here to hear his very own take on Tng Tings  Thats Not My Name.

2.  Neil Diamond

I dont care if he's getting on a bit - or if he's seen as kind of cheesy - the man is a songwriting legend.  And if my little one line tribute hasnt done enough for me to convince you to download some of his stuff listen to this and realise its really the best song ever to wave your hands in the air and sing along to.

3.  Scissor Sisters

Okay, i know some people would rather die than admit to being a fan of this bunch of eccentrics but im not one of them.  I dont care about those banners held high at gigs proclaiming 'you destroyed Pink Floyd', if you ask me they are the best thing that happened to Comfortably Numb, judge for yourself - Id be interested to know what you think.... Sisterhood go here  for the boring old Floyd version click here

4.  Neil Young

Well he was a hippie and a junkie and he has a voice that's pitched so high that only dogs can hear him - but he is capable of indescribable genius.  If you dont believe me click here to fall in love.

And finally, the guiltiest pleasure of all and Im only going to admit to one song of his because its really all i like and only then because you can turn it up loud in your car on a hot sunny day then drive so fast that noone can see your face and who's actually playing the track:

5.  Summer of'69 by Bryan Adams

Im not including a picture or really any explanation of why.  I just do like this song.  I truly am ashamed to admit it but there you go.  If you havent heard it and want to - go here.  Ooo apparantey im not the only one who likes this - there are many audience members singing along (whilst wearing plaid and stonewash denim).

Before I get into anymore trouble, im off.  But i tg anyone who wants to join in - let me know if you've done it - im intruiged to read yours!
