My Chemical Romance - Good Enough for Dylan?
Posted 1 yr 4 mos ago
In somewhat surprising news, My Chemical Romance have confirmed that they are covering a Bob Dylan song for the soundtrack of an up and coming movie. This is not the first time a modern rock band have given their spin to one of Dylan's classics as Guns n Roses released Knocking on Heaven's Door in 1992 but my question is are My Chem good enough to pull this off?
I though FOB was good...and look what they did to Beat It. so, i'm biased.
I'm going to go cry in a dark corner.
no offense to the person.
I will be joining you in that dark corner.
That's a mighty long song to cover at 11:21
a piece of me just die a little ....
And I think they are capable of not butchering it.
I mean it's MCR for god's sake.
They do have talent.
I'm not about to get hardcore with my keyboard but I do have a response to this.
My Chemical Romance IS real music.
My Chemical Romance IS a real band.
If they weren't a real band and didn't make real music, how would they save lives?
And if you think that every fucking band sells themselves out to MTV as soon as they are big enough, you obviously haven't heard HALF of the amazing music out there.
I'm not looking for a fight.
But you never know.
Green Day's cover of John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero' was actually good.
If Green Day can do a good cover of a legend, then why can't MCR?
(& i think my chemical romance is more than talented enough to deliver an interesting version)
