Which Retro Band Rocks Your Socks?
Posted
The Wombats want us to Dance to Joy Division and oh so recently retro bands have come back into fashion. Maybe its because your parents listened to them, maybe its because your favourite band of the moment rate them. Or, maybe its because you heard them randomly for the first time and fell in love. So which old school musicians do you rate? If your inspiration is missing - add it in the comments box, I cant name them all!!

Is Gerard Way A Diva?
Posted
Its been a bit quiet around these parts lately so I thought Id shake things up a bit......
I read in a recent bulletin that a fan waited to greet MCR from their plane at an airport and that although the other members of the band were friendly, Gerard walked by without saying hello and then blew smoke in fans faces. Is this DIVA behaviour? And if it is are you surprised? Or was he just tired and fed up after a long flight? How would you feel if this happened to you? |

Groupie Lovin' - Bonding with Fans or Just Plain Wrong?
Posted
Bad boy Brit rocker Pete Doherty is well know for being accomodating to his fans. From performing private gigs in his flat to sharing his drugs - whats his is yours. But this weekend its been reported that he is rumoured to be sleeping with a former groupie. So I was wondering - what do you think of this? How would you feel if your idol was exposed as a REAL lover of their fans? Would you be disappointed in them, feel let down or just plain disgusted? Or, would you be first in line at the backstage door?

Lily Allen's Weight Loss - Is She Coming Clean or Putting up a Smokescreen?
Posted
Lily Allen today claimed that her recent drastic weight loss was due to a health scare (the fact that she has been diagnosed with a heart murmur) and not because she wants to fit in with the 'In Crowd'. Lily has dropped 2 dress sizes in 6 weeks through an intensive exercise regime but still smokes cigarettes and is known to have the occasional drink or 7. So do we believe her? Are her intentions purely to improve her health or has she done what she vowed she'd never do and given in to the pressure to be super skinny in a cut-throat industy? How does this make us feel about her?

Growing Old Gracefully - An Old Fashioned Concept?
Posted
2 yrs 1 mo ago
Theres no denying it - women these days are looking better for longer. With easy access to plastic surgery and the general trend towards keeping fit and healthy no matter what your age, has the adage 'growing old gracefully' become an outdated viewpoint? At what age should women start to cover up and calm down? Should there be a limit at all - have stars such as Madonna (50 next year) and Kylie (40 this year) fought hard to change the perception of older, sexier women and should we take advantage of that? Or do you cringe at the sight of them in their underwear and reach for the remote control?

Old Man Rock or the New Young Brats - Who Will Win the Battle of Everlasting Fame?
Posted
2 yrs 2 mos ago
We all have a band that we credit with igniting our passion in music. It may be the Beatles the Rolling Stones or more recent bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers or Nirvana. Question is...... can bands of the moment stand up and survive as Icons of rock? In 10 years time will the youth of the future be naming Fall Out Boy, Paramore and 30 Seconds to Mars as thier ultimate musical discovery? Have My Chemical Romance got what it takes to ride the wave of instant popularity and become an inspiration for rock bands in years to come? Or not? Im relying on you to tell me what you think:
